Updates to the UChicago Jobs Web site
(last updated 3/27/07)
A new status change, “Needs Department Action,” was introduced on March 19, 2007 into the UChicago Jobs employment requisition process.
Background
Departmental HR administrators change a requisition’s status to “Central HR Wrap Up” so UHRM can add the selected applicant to the payroll. However, this can only be done when all information required from the departmental HR administrator has been entered by the department administrator and has been entered correctly.
Requisitions sent to “Central HR Wrap Up” must contain all needed and correct departmental information.
New Status
Effective March 19, 2007, the status of any requisition sent to “Central HR Wrap Up” will be identified as “Needs Department Attention” if any needed information is missing or incorrect. UHRM will simultaneously send the departmental HR administrator an e-mail alert specifying the information that the department needs to add or correct in the "Notes" tab of the requisition itself. After the information is entered and/or corrected, the department administrator can send the requisition back to “Central HR Wrap Up.”
This new status is a process change, intended to enhance workflow and to decrease time lost by leaving and responding to voicemails and emails.
